Hi!

I'm the Aussie Toy Detective!

I'm a teacher and while I was on maternity leave in 2025 with a toddler and a newborn I started my Instagram page The Aussie Toy Detective as a hobby.

I started my Playbook bundle because I had an 18 month old and a newborn and I was exhausted and relying on the TV every day. Then I started to realise that I needed a list of play ideas for my toddler. Something I could reach for when it was overwhelming, or beforehand, instead of reaching for the TV remote.

I had no family support and my husband was working long hours so I needed a back up.

I knew I needed to do something different and my husband and I were talking one night. And he asked why I didn't come up with a list for myself... which felt a lot like that Taco add. So I made a list and then a friend saw it and asked about it... she loved it... so I wondered if it might be helpful for other mums too!

Since then I've started investing in toys that my children LOVE and that I believe are quality, value for money, and unique!
